Head Guide & Safety Officer
Born in Tashkent in 1988, Aziz first went ice fishing with his father on the Charvak Reservoir at age 10. Today he leads our most demanding tours, from beginner introductions to high-altitude alpine expeditions. He's caught over 40 species in Uzbek waters and holds a WAFA wilderness first aid certification. Languages: Uzbek, Russian, English.
Mountain Route Specialist
Rustam grew up near the Chimgan mountains and has spent more time on frozen high-altitude lakes than anyone on our team. He specialises in the premium Tian Shan tours, knows every passable winter route and can read ice conditions like a meteorologist reads clouds. Languages: Uzbek, Russian.
Family & Beginner Specialist
Nilufar's background in education combined with her love of fishing makes her unique. She has an extraordinary ability to teach complete beginners — including children as young as 5 — how to ice fish with confidence and joy. Her lakeside cooking skills are legendary among our regular guests. Languages: Uzbek, Russian, English.
We invest heavily in ongoing training for all our guides — because your safety on the ice is non-negotiable.
All guides carry WAFA certification renewed every 2 years. They are trained in hypothermia treatment, ice rescue procedures and emergency response in remote mountain areas.
Guides complete annual ice assessment training: measuring thickness, identifying fracture lines, understanding pressure zones and conducting daily ice audits before every tour departure.
Our guides follow strict catch-and-release policies for protected species and adhere to daily catch limits to ensure healthy fish populations for future generations of ice anglers.
