Over 800 ice fishing trips completed with guests from around the world. Here's what they say about their experience.
"Absolutely mind-blowing experience. We drilled 6 holes and caught 11 fish in one morning! Aziz was an incredible guide — knowledgeable, funny and very safety-conscious. The hot lagman at the lakeside was a bonus."
"Took my whole family — kids aged 6 and 9. Nilufar was absolutely wonderful with the children. They were catching fish within 20 minutes! The scenery around Charvak in winter is stunning. 100% recommend."
"I'm an experienced fisherman from Russia but ice fishing in the Tian Shan mountains was something completely different. Rustam took us to an incredibly remote alpine lake — crystal water, huge fish, zero crowds. Epic."
Everything you need to know before your first ice fishing trip in Uzbekistan.
Not at all! Most of our guests are complete beginners. Our guides will teach you everything from how to use an ice auger to the best baiting techniques. All ice fishing tours are designed to be beginner-friendly unless stated otherwise.
All ice fishing gear is included: electric ice auger, ice fishing rods and reels, bait, tackle, insulated portable shelter, seats, a thermos of hot tea, and lakeside lunch. You only need to bring warm clothing, gloves and boots.
Safety is our top priority. We check ice thickness every morning before any group goes out — minimum safe thickness for our tours is 20cm, we operate comfortably at 30–50cm. All guides are first-aid certified and carry emergency equipment. We have a perfect safety record across 800+ trips.
Our ice fishing season typically runs from late December through early March, depending on weather conditions. The prime ice fishing period is January and February when ice thickness is at its maximum. We monitor conditions daily and will notify you of any changes to your trip.
All trips depart from Tashkent city centre. We pick you up at your hotel or an agreed meeting point. The drive to Charvak Reservoir takes approximately 1.5 hours; alpine lake tours may take 2–3 hours one way. Transport is included in all tour prices.
Yes! You're welcome to keep your ice fishing catch (within legal daily limits). We'll clean and pack your fish for the journey home. Many guests take their catch back to their hotel or apartment for a memorable self-cooked dinner. We can also prepare a lakeside fish barbecue if arranged in advance.
